At Hacketstown Stud Stables, horses are more than a passion — they’re a way of life. Founded and run by a family team, Aoife, Robyn & Kevin Dowling, the yard is built on a shared love of horses and a strong family commitment to quality and compassionate care.

Based in the heart of Skerries, Co. Dublin, they’ve created a warm, professional environment where both horses and riders are supported to learn, grow, and thrive.

Robyn Dowling

Robyn leads the riding school, coaching beginner riders or those looking to refine their skills or prepare for local shows. Robyn’s approach is practical, encouraging, and always horse-first.

With a natural gift for connecting with both horses and riders, Robyn brings patience, empathy, and years of hands-on experience to every lesson.

Robyn's qualifications are as follows

Level 5 & 6 in Horsemanship & Equitation- Kildalton College
Irish Pony Club B Test & Lunging Test
BHS Stage 2 Teach
BHS Stage 3 Lunge, Ride, Care
Safeguarding
First Aid Responder
Garda Vetted

Aoife Wilde

Aoife leads the livery yard with a wealth of experience, dedication, and genuine care for every horse and rider. Known for her friendly, hands-on approach, she ensures the yard runs smoothly and that each horse receives top-quality care tailored to its individual needs.

Aoife's passion is showjumping and she has successfully produced and competed her horse up to an Amateur level.

Whether you're a seasoned rider or new to horse ownership, Aoife is always on hand to offer advice, support, and a warm welcome.

Aoife's qualifications are as follows

BHS Stage 2 Teach
